CHRIS STEVENS (PRO WRITER)

Chris Stevens is a four-time Grammy winning producer and songwriter from Eugene, Oregon who has made Nashville his home since 2005. He has worked with many of the top artists in Christian music including TobyMac and American Idol finalists Mandisa and Colton Dixon as well as many others. Stevens has also worked on songs for country artists Blake Shelton and Carrie Underwood and fellow home-towner, Mat Kearney.

Chris has been honored as BMI’s Christian songwriter of the year on three separate occasions over the past decade, and is also a 12-time Dove award recipient. In 2013 he received his first Grammy as a producer and mixer on TobyMac’s album "Eye On it." In 2014 he took home two more Grammys for producing contemporary Christian Album of the year “Overcomer” for Capitol Christian artist Mandisa, and also for writinf the title song on that same album. In February 2016, Stevens won Grammy number four for Production/Engineering on Tobymac's "This Is Not A Test.”

In 2016 Chris began focusing on songwriting in the Country genre and has already had songs recorded and/or released by Drew Baldridge, Justin Moore, Morgan Wallen, David Lee Murphy and Jerrod Niemann. When not writing country music, he is currently finishing recording and production on the highly anticipated roots gospel album from disco icon Gloria Gaynor entitled “Testimony," to be released in May 2017. He is married to his wife of 26 years, Nancy and has four sons, Taylor, Carter, Cameron, and Zachary, who he says are his biggest inspiration.
