Event Description: 

Born and raised in rural Antelope Valley, CA, Cristina Wheeler has known she wanted to work in the music business since she was 5 years old. Privileged to grow up in a music household, Cristina was surrounded by all genres of music but fell in love with jazz, blues, rock, pop, and country. Billie Holiday, Roy Orbison, Ella Fitzgerald, Otis Redding, and Patsy Cline are some of her biggest influences.
In 2008 Cristina and her sister Daniella formed the duo, “Wheeler Sisters” toured the southern CA fairs/festivals and moved to Nashville in 2011. 6 months after Cristina and Dani moved to Nashville they were signed to Lofton Creek records, run my Mike Borchetta. Their first single, “This is Gonna Get Ugly” went to number 42 on the Billboard chart and was written by award winning songwriter and producer Jim McCormick. Jim is known for writing hits for artists such as Trace Adkins, Trisha Yearwood, Randy Travis, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and Brantley Gilbert.
Currently, Cristina is a manager of the Creative Services team at SESAC where she works directly with writers and publishers in Nashville.
