In 2020, “The Bones” took on a deeper meaning and soared to new heights – reaching No. 1 on the Country charts, achieving Top 10 on both Hot AC and Top 40 charts and shattering the record for most consecutive weeks held by a solo female artist after spending 19 weeks atop the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The song’s historic reign propelled Laura to become the first female to claim the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Country Songwriter chart, a feat she held for five consecutive weeks. The global smash also earned Laura the coveted ACM and CMA Awards for Song of the Year as well as BMI Pop Song of the Year.

Her latest releases include three songs on Morris’ third studio album, including the title track “Humble Quest”, Callista Clark’s Top 20 debut “It’s ‘Cause I Am” and the title track of Lady A’s eight studio album “What A Song Can Do.” Most recently, Laura collaborated with Demi Lovato to co-write 13 of the 16 tracks on her eighth studio album HOLY FVCK and added producer credits to resume while working with Madeline Edwards for her debut project CRASHLANDED. Her songs have also been recorded by Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, The Highwomen, Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown, Monsta X, Trisha Yearwood, Little Big Town, Ryan Hurd, Brothers Osborne, Carly Pearce, Mitchell Tenpenny and more.

Laura’s foray into music for film began with “Dream Girl,” co-written and performed by Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, which was featured in the Amazon/Sony Pictures adaptation of Cinderella. Most recently, she co-penned “Still Alive” alongside Demi Lovato, who also performs it, which serves as the lead track of Scream 6 debuting in March 2023.
