What made you fall in love with music?

My family introduced me to a little bit of everything as I grew up. My Dad imparted a love for Fleetwood Mac, Boston, and Aerosmith into me at a young age while my Mom was playing me Donny Osmond, Alabama, and the entire 80’s discography in the car. Then my big sister would keep my little iPod shuffle up to date on music she heard at college and introduced me to Taylor Swift. I learned a whole new respect for music when my Uncle Gary initiated a love for Elvis on his old record player when I was 16. I especially fell in love with his album of hymns and have very fond memories of my uncle singing along to Elvis’ rendition of “How Great Thou Art.” I feel very lucky to have been introduced to such a variety of music throughout my life through my family and am very proud of the vinyl collection I have as an adult.

Best concert you have ever been to?

While every show I’ve been to is special - I have to say Taylor Swift’s first Nashville show for the Eras Tour is my favorite by far. I have never witnessed so much energy, production, and fun at a show. It was special to watch an artist that I know has so much respect and love for our city playing in the biggest venue Nashville has to offer, then it be filled 3 times over. It was amazing!

What music are you currently listening to?

My staples that I’m always listening too are Taylor Swift, LANY, Maggie Rogers, Kelsea Ballerini, and Niall Horan but some newer artists that have become ingrained into my every day playlist are Fly by Midnight, Khloe Rose, Abby Crone, and Grace Abrams.

What drew you to NSAI?

I love music and have so much respect for the work NSAI does for the music industry. Not only are they giving songwriters a place to grow and learn but they’re also doing incredible work for songwriters rights. I’m honored to be apart of something that is so beneficial to more than just my own community.
