Trent Jeffcoat signs with Montage Music

I could never actually put into words all that NSAI means to me, but here goes.  I moved to town in July 2004 with my wonderful wife, Whitnei, and our amazing son, Walker.  But before we ever moved to Nashville, I attended a couple of Song Camps sponsored by NSAI.  I learned so much about crafting a song, not to mention getting an idea of how the business worked.  But most importantly, I found a community of dreamers who love other dreamers.

After moving to town, NSAI became a second home and a place where I could always turn for encouragement.  The song critiques that I received were instrumental in helping me become a better writer.  And I also met most of my early co-writers, some of whom I still write with, through NSAI.

Now, don’t get me wrong, the organization and what it stands for are awesome, but the people at NSAI are what it’s really all about.

Bart Herbison has been such a big part of my songwriting journey from early on.  He has believed in me and encouraged me for years when no one else showed any real interest at all.  Then, once Sheree’ Spoltore’ came on board at NSAI, it’s been full throttle every since!  I have never met anyone with as much vision and passion about the people she works with as Sheree’.  I will forever be grateful to them both as well as the rest of the staff for all they have done to further my career.

I am now signed to my first publishing deal with Bobby Rymer at Montage Music Publishing.  In my opinion, there is no greater man or company that I could be associated with than Bobby and Montage Music.  I owe a large part of my getting a publishing deal to NSAI and their Pitch-2-Publisher Luncheon, as well as their belief in me.  I will always be a huge fan of NSAI, and I look forward to doing all I can to keep the spirit of this great organization alive.

THANKS NSAI!
