Gary Nicholson

A Texas native, Gary serves on the Legislative Committee, has travelled to Washington, D.C., to lobby for songwriters and has hosted legislative fundraiser shows for NSAI.  Gary’s songwriting credits include Montgomery Gentry’s “She Couldn’t Change Me,” the Garth Brooks - Trisha Yearwood Duet “Squeeze Me In,” T. Graham Brown’s “Brilliant Conversationalist,” Vince Gill’s “The Reason Why” & “One More Last Chance,” Wynonna’s “When Love Starts Talking,” Patty Loveless’ “A Thousand Times A Day” and “The Trouble With The Truth,” Don Williams’ “That’s The Thing About Love” and Lee Roy Parnell’s “Giving Water To A Drowning Man” and “Oughta Be A Law.”  His song “Falling And Flying” appears in the movie Crazy Heart.  Gary’s songs have also appeared in the movies Urban Cowboy 2, Major League, City of Hope, Message in a Bottle, Happy Texas, Where the Heart Is and Serving Sara.
