A Memphis native, Rivers is a faculty member for NSAI’s Song Camps and has lobbied with NSAI in Washington, D.C. His songwriting credits include the Brad Paisley - Dolly Parton duet “When I Get Where I’m Going,” Chuck Wicks’ “Stealing Cinderella,” Rodney Atkins’ “These Are My People,” Kenny Chesney’s “Living In Fast Forward,” Trace Adkins’ “Ladies Love Country Boys,” Tim McGraw’s “Real Good Man,” Faith Hill’s “When The Lights Go Down,” Brooks & Dunn’s “Ain’t Nothing ’Bout You,” Gretchen Wilson’s “Homewrecker,” Montgomery-Gentry’s “If You Ever Stop Loving Me” & “She Don’t Tell Me To,” Andy Griggs’ “Tonight I Wanna Be Your Man,” Chely Wright’s “Shut Up And Drive” and the Tracy Byrd - Mark Chesnutt duet “A Good Way To Get On My Bad Side.” Rivers was ASCAP’s 2006 Country Songwriter of the Year. |
