Congratulations to the writers below who had songs recommended between September 1st – September 30th for consideration for our Publisher Luncheon. These were submitted to the Song Evaluation Service and were recommended by the NSAI Evaluators who reviewed them. NSAI staffers will review all songs recommended for the February 2019 Publisher Luncheon.

SONGS SELECTED - PUBLISHER PLAYLIST

Each quarter NSAI invites all of the local Nashville Music Publishers and PRO Reps to attend a luncheon. Congratulations to SONGS SELECTED for the PLAYLIST that gets sent to those 50+ Music Publishers. Songs considered for this PLAYLIST are recommended by the NSAI Song Evaluation Service, from staff through workshops and online events, and Membership Representative meetings. These songs were recommended between 5/1/18 - 8/31/18 and will be sent in the playlist at the beginning of November 2018.

Songwriters Celebrated At Inaugural Nashville Songwriter Awards

Nashville, Tennessee (September 20, 2018) – A packed house at the RYMAN on Wednesday September 19th celebrated the inaugural Nashville Songwriter Awards, presented by the Nashville Songwriters Association International and City National Bank. The top honor of the night, ‘Song of the Year’ was awarded to Matt Dragstrem, Ben Hayslip, and Josh Thompson for “I’ll Name The Dogs,” recorded by Blake Shelton. Ashley Gorley was recognized as ‘Songwriter of the Year’ for the 4th time, and Brandon Lancaster received the award for ‘Songwriter-Artist of the Year.’
