July 1st – July 31st “Recommended” Songs Considered for P2P Luncheon.
Congratulations to the writers below who had songs recommended between July 1st – July 31st for consideration for our Publisher Luncheon. These were submitted to the Song Evaluation Service and were recommended by the NSAI Evaluators who reviewed them. NSAI staffers will review all songs recommended for the October 2018 Publisher Luncheon.

This past week, we hosted our first Pop-Up event at the Trimble House in the WeHo neighborhood of Nashville! Kara DioGuardi and Jeff Cohen shared song and performance feedback to 20 out of 40 NSAI Member attendees at the Nashville Pop-Up Campfire Session! NSAI ANNOUNCES 2018 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) recently concluded its 2018 Board of Directors election. Newly elected board members are Corey Crowder, Chris DeStefano, Jimmy Yeary.

Current board members who were re-elected to an additional two-year term include Tony Arata, NSAI President Steve Bogard, Jeff Cohen, Ben Glover, Connie Harrington, Byron Hill, Liz Rose and Jenn Schott.

Nashville, TN --- The U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary today passed the Music Modernization Act by
unanimous voice vote.

“A huge thank you goes to Senators Chuck Grassley, Dianne Feinstein, Orrin Hatch, Sheldon Whitehouse and
many others. Songwriters desperately need the improvements in this bill that will ultimately lead to higher
streaming royalty rates and a more efficient music licensing system.”
