2021 Anthem Chapter Challenge Overview

NSAI has teamed up with Anthem Entertainment to allow every NSAI Chapter to submit 1 song each after voting to be considered for a single song contract. If considered, this is a 2-year exclusive agreement.
What are they looking for?
“In the most general terms, Sync-focused writing is simple and obvious, but not exactly cliché. The idea is to think on behalf of the audience, so they know what to feel. Unless you’re shooting for something specific, subject matter should be broad, like “we are stronger together”, or “now is the time!… ”if you’re going for something basic like “yeah! Life is amazing!”, give it a super unique vocal. Rhythmic minimal openings and huge pay-offs are your bread and butter… and for the sake of all that is good and beautiful in the world, avoid proper nouns and brand names.” – Drew Sherrod | Anthem Entertainment Sync Department
What is the benefit?
In 2018, 4 NSAI members received 4 single song contracts from the Ole Chapter Challenge and in 2019, 2 members received special recognitions from Ole as well. In November of 2020 Anthem selected two 2 NSAI members to receive 2 single-song contracts. This is an opportunity outside of NSAI's Pitch to Publisher events to have an industry professional's hands on your songs. Recipients of single song contracts from Anthem Entertainment will also be featured in the NSAI Membership Awards as well as some other perks.
