TOPIC: SYNC LICENSING -- Getting music placed in film, TV, and other media projects
Having songs licensed for use in film, TV, commercials, trailers, video games, and other media projects, known as “sync” (short for “synchronization) or “music licensing" is a growing source of revenue songwriters.
Co-Coordinator Liz Miller, who has had success in having song placements, will lead the discussion on what it entails to get your songs to the decision makers who make the placements. You should come away with basic knowledge and also ideas and inspiration, for what it takes to pursue sync placement.
Following our discussion, we'll have a song feedback/evaluation session.
