From the DC Metropolitan area, Nicolette McCann never thought that her path would lead her to Nashville, TN - but an undeniable love for music changed all that. She started her career in the music industry during the summer of 2017 after her graduation from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Communication with minors in Writing & Entrepreneurship, she was offered a position working with Maggie Rose and Austin Marshall of Starstruck Entertainment. McCann spent a year working as their executive assistant - gaining experience in management, publishing, touring, booking, social media management, and more. During that time, she developed a true love for songs and songwriters which lead her to pursue an opportunity with Disney Music Publishing where she was an A&R Assistant. It was at Disney Music Publishing under the guidance of Ciara Shortridge that she developed a true understanding of the publishing world. Now, at Twelve6 Entertainment, McCann is able to combine both of her passions - publishing & artist development working with writers & artists like Trevor Rosen (of Old Dominion), Alex Hall (a recent Monument Records signee), Roman Alexander, and more. Twelve6 Entertainment has been the perfect place for McCann to combine knowledge from her liberal arts, entrepreneurial, management, and publishing backgrounds. She is excited to see where the future of this company and industry will take her.
