ABOUT RICK SCHWEINSBERG

Rick Schweinsberg began his Gospel music career in 1975 shortly after he was saved as a teenager. He formed and managed his own Country Gospel group in Portsmouth, Ohio called the True Gospel Sounds. A regional group, the True Gospel Sounds traveled throughout Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, and Pennsylvania from 1975-1998. Rick sang lead, did the emcee work, and played bass guitar. His original songs have been recorded by the Hoppers, the Dixie Melody Boys/DMB Band, Triumphant Quartet, the Michael Lee, Red Roots , and others. His songs have also been published in songbooks released by Gaither Music Publishing and the Rex Nelon Music Company, Christian Taylor Publishing Company. Rick also owns his own publishing.

From 1985-1988, Rick was a salesman and afternoon drive DJ on WPAY Radio in Portsmouth, Ohio. From 1988-2007, Rick was the Operations Manager and morning drive DJ for WXIC Radio in Waverly, Ohio and WRAC RadioU of Wheelersburg Ohio. Rick founded RadioGC in Hendersonville, TN featuring Christian Country music.

From 1983-2007, Rick owned and operated Sweet Spirit Recording Studio in Wheelersburg, Ohio, where he engineered and produced Gospel recordings. During that time, he owned Sweet Spirit Records, Red Hen Records, and Ahmish Records. He operated Rick Schweinsberg Sound Company, as well, installing sound equipment in churches and running sound for Southern Gospel and CCM artists.

In 2007, Rick was hired at New Day Christian Distributors and Salem Communications and relocated to Nashville, Tennessee where he works in the recording studios of Daywind Music Group. Rick later assumed the position of A & R Director for Daywind's Christian Country label, Red Hen, and 65/40 Records where he also works as a producer. With his son Micah, Rick has developed and produced Red Hen artists Red Roots, Zach and Rodney, Michael Lee, Bryan Carroll, Ryan Watkins, Kevin Woody, Shelly Burris and others. Rick specializes in "Clean Country" and Gospel/Christian music.
