For April, NSAI Fox Valley (and all NSAI Chapters) will conduct NSAI’s Annual Chapter Challenge during its Zoom meeting, starting at 7pm CDT, Thursday, April 21st.

This annual competition provides an opportunity for current NSAI members in its 80 chapters worldwide to submit a pre-recorded song at their local monthly April meeting. Those members attending the meeting will then vote on the submissions and the winning song from each chapter will be forwarded to NSAI in Nashville, where a select committee will listen to all entries submitted from the chapters and select the top 25 songs.

The Top 25 winners will receive an exclusive educational Zoom session with Jessie Jo Dillon, one of Nashville’s top songwriters.
The Top 10 songwriters will receive an exclusive pitch session with three publishers from three different publishing companies.
The winning member and winning coordinator (coordinators have their own special song submission category) will receive a free trip to Nashville, including airfare, a three-night hotel stay and tickets to a premium NSAI event of their choice.
Following are the rules and process for this year’s NSAI Chapter Challenge.
Entrants must be a current NSAI member and “affiliated” with the chapter at which they are submitting their song. (Check your membership status on the NSAI website and be sure you are affiliated with the Fox Valley Chapter.
Entrants must be present for the entire April meeting.
Entrants may submit only one song to the challenge.
Chapter coordinators will facilitate listening to all songs submitted and will not vote.
Once all songs are played and voted on by the members present, the winning song will be submitted for the next level of the challenge. In the event of a tie, both songs will be submitted and the NSAI staff will choose the local winner.
Chapter coordinators have their own submission process, separate from that of the members.
