Congratulations to the writers below who had songs recommended between August 1st and August 31st for consideration for our Publisher Luncheon. These were submitted to the Song Evaluation Service and were recommended by the NSAI Evaluators who reviewed them.

NSAI staffers will review all songs recommended between August 1st and August 31st and will choose up to 15 for the October 2016 Publisher Luncheon.

NSAI Honors Songwriters Who Topped the Charts from April 2016 to July 2016

Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI) rate court Judge Louis Stanton issued a ruling overturning mandatory 100% licensing ordered by the U.S. Department of Justice. This means performing rights organization (PRO) BMI does NOT have to comply with 100% licensing, unless DOJ files an appeal and is victorious. The ruling does not apply to ASCAP (American Society of Composers and Publishers).

So you’ve heard about our celebrity mentors, Charles Kelley (Grand Prize) and Rodney Clawson (Lyric-Only) plus the Single-Song Contract from Round Hill Music…But why else you should you enter? And what prizes do Runner-Ups and Honorable Mentions receive?

Congratulations to these writers whose songs were selected to be put on the Publisher Luncheon CD happening on Oct 18, 2016!
