Aubree Neal

Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. I like to claim both as my hometown because they both feel like home!

What made you fall in love with music?

I can’t say exactly what moment I fell in love but looking back, all my favorite memories involve music! From my mom singing me to sleep as a child to going to my favorite concert with my dad and brother. I associate music with memories, some people keep photo albums, I keep playlists.

Best concert you have ever been to?

OneRepublic with the Colorado Symphony at Red Rocks. Hands down! The venue, the full orchestra, OneRepublic… it was the perfect storm!

What genre of music do you listen to the most?

I listen to mostly Singer-Songwriter/acoustic style music. I’m defiantly drawn to the relaxed vibe the genre provides.
Who’s your favorite artist/band?
I have many favorites across all genres! I love OneRepublic, Patrick Droney, Matthew Mayfield, NEEDTOBREATHE, Taylor Swift, Chris Stapleton, Jo Dee Messina, Shania Twain, Kelsea Ballerini, I could keep going really.

What drew you to NSAI?

I have always been drawn to lyrics; I keep a note in my phone of all my favorite lines. The way a song or lyric can sum up a feeling or moment in time always blows me away. The amount of respect I have for songwriters makes this the perfect company for me to join. I have always loved working in the non-profit industry and to be able to combine my love for non-profit with my passion for the artistry of music and lyrics is the ultimate goal!
Favorite Nashville restaurant?

I’m new to town, I don’t have one yet! Any suggestions?

Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Aubree always knew she wanted to stay in the south. With a love of music and lyrics she graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s in Music Business. With ten years of non-profit volunteer experience, she became the Special Events Coordinator and later promoted to Special Events Manager of the Birmingham Zoo. There she learned the process of creating and executing events to promote the mission to conserve the natural world. Her favorite part of working for the Birmingham Zoo was building relationships with the community and animals at the zoo, “It’s not everyday you can walk around the zoo on your lunch break!”
