Industry Professional - Sarah Schumacher

Sarah Lynn Schumacher is a music publishing creative. Sarah began her publishing career in 2017 at Disney Music Group, where she served as a catalogue manager and handled day-to-day writer management. In 2019, Sarah formed the management and development company, Darkhorse Music Management. Through Darkhorse Music Management, Sarah, currently manages writer/producer Alex Kline, Sony/RECORDS artist Jennifer Smestad, and writer/producer, Jacob Noe, and has developed several other writers. Additionally, Sarah currently serves as the Senior Coordinator Licensing/Creative at Reel Muzik Werks.

Prior to starting her career in publishing, Sarah served as an executive assistant at Dickinson Wright, PLLC, in the Entertainment Sports & Media Group, a personal assistant to a major label artist, and as a production assistant for one-off events and music festivals. Sarah has extensive experience in digital marketing, A&R, and ticketing and marketing coordination for major label tours.

Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Arts, Music Industry Administration degree from California State University, Northridge. She is a SOLID alumnus.
