Jaclyn Torrento

With a passion for music and storytelling, Jaclyn Torrento is excited to  join Nashville Songwriters Association International as Creative Content Manager. Jaclyn is a Nashville native and graduated from Belmont University in 2014 with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Entertainment Industry Studies. After graduation, Jaclyn stepped into the world of radio as Promotions Coordinator for Cromwell Radio Group, home of the Nashville Predators flagship station, 102.5 The Game.

With a drive to learn more in content development and storytelling, Jaclyn received a full-ride scholarship to obtain her Master of Arts in Journalism from Columbia College Chicago. Jaclyn has spent the last three years surviving Chicago winters, but thriving in the summers! While there, she worked in sports media with Stadium and was also a singer on the wedding and corporate event circuit. You might even catch her singing some covers across Nashville every now and again!

What made you fall in love with music?
I've always had a love for music since an early age. My first concert was Earth, Wind & Fire that my dad took me to! Thanks for the good musical tastes, Ross! Music allows me to let go for moments and just live in the song, or the concert or the experience. It's a pretty cool feeling.

Best concert you have ever been to?
Bon Iver, hands down. If you ever have the opportunity to see Justin Vernon in his element, it is an experience like no other.

What music are you listening to?
HAIM, Khalid, Bon Iver, Sigrid, NIGHT TRAVELER, John Mayer, The Midnight, The Night Game, Léon, The 1975, Lizzo, anything Motown  . . that's a pretty good start!

What drew you to NSAI?

The chance to combine my love for music and storytelling, but also help and advocate for songwriters is what really drew me to NSAI. I'm excited to have the opportunity to work for a wonderful organization that does so much!

Favorite Nashville coffee shop or restaurant?
Well, it depends on why I am going to the coffee shop (working, having coffee with friends, meetings, etc.) I will say that a few of my favorites are Frothy Monkey, Bongo Java, and Steadfast Coffee!
