May Madness: 10 Songs They Wish They'd Written 2021 Ballot

Each year, the professional songwriter members of NSAI receive a ballot* to vote on the “10 Songs I Wish I’d Written” and NSAI awards the top vote-getter with Song of the Year and the following 10 vote-getters with “10 Songs I Wish I’d Written” Awards (for a total of 11 awards from the ballot) at the Nashville Songwriter Awards held in September each year.

This year, we want you to join in on the fun!  Think you know how professional songwriters think and what songs they wish they’d written this year?  Fill out your own ballot just like they do!  ANYONE can vote, but only NSAI members will be eligible for the prizes, including the GRAND PRIZE package: an NSAI Lifetime Membership, 2 round-trip flights* to Nashville, 2 nights hotel stay in Nashville and 2 tickets to the 2021 Nashville Songwriter Awards! 

How do you win? Choose 10 of the 11 songs that you think our professional songwriters voted on this year to be awarded at the Nashville Songwriter Awards (Song of the Year plus the '10 Songs I Wish I'd Written'), and you will be entered into a drawing for the GRAND PRIZE, 2nd Prize (NSAI Lifetime Membership), and 3rd Prize (3-Year NSAI Membership).

YOU MUST CHOOSE 10 SONGS TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN

To be included on the ballot, songs must meet the following criteria:

• At least one of the writers is a Nashville-based songwriter
• Appear in the top 20 on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart, Billboard Pop Songs Airplay Chart, Billboard Rock & Alternative Airplay Chart or in the top 10 on the Billboard Christian Airplay Chart during the period May 2020 – April 2021
