March meeting 6pm 3/18

Great news, folks! We have secured the meeting room at Seasons for this month's meeting on Monday the 18th. We will be there at 6 and the meeting will start at 6:15.

We are still looking for a permanent meeting place; reach out if you have any suggestions. It needs to be a public place that is ADA accessible, large enough for 10-12 people to meet comfortably, and both allows us to play music and is quiet enough for us to hear each other.

There will be a short informational presentation and discussion on current legal issues affecting publishing and streaming. Bring your latest song to share and get feedback; if your song has lyrics please bring 5-10 hard copies for members to follow along and take notes.

January Meeting is Canceled!

Bad news folks,

The January meeting has been canceled due to not having a suitable location. I am checking into other options right now and woll keep you all posted as to what I find. If anyone has suggestions I am once again practically begging for them. LOL (Meeting locations must be public places - no private residences allowed.)

With some luck we'll have a spot by mid-Feb and be back to our regular schedule.

December meeting

Our monthly meeting for December will be on Mon the 11th at 6pm; we should be in the meeting room but ask at the front desk to make sure.

We ask that you arrive early to order food and berverages so that we can start the presentation at about 6:15.

Meeting of the CDA chapter of the Nashville Songwriter's Association International!

We will have a short "educational" presentation and then we share some of our original songs and give feedback. If you want feedback on your lyrics please bring several hard copies. You may play your song live or bring a recording.

Meeting will be Monday Aug 28 6:15-9:00pm at Seasons Bar & Grill in Coeur d'Alene. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Every April NSAI hosts a CHAPTER CHALLENGE, whereby each Chapter selects the best song from its membership and submits this song for a chance for the winner to get a FREE All Expenses Paid Trip to Nashville, with the opportunity to pitch your song to a publisher !!!
Members must be present at next month's chapter meeting to participate....that said, I will reach out to see if our long-distance members can attend via ZOOM.

NOTE:
Songs must be in MP3 format.

Our April Chapter meeting will be April 24, 2023 at 6:15 pm at LYFE Public House in Coeur d'Alene.

NSAI Chapter Meeting for February 2023

I am excited to announce that Hank Greer will be presenting an educational segment called Spark Your Creativity. I believe that believe that all of us have experienced "dry spells" when it seems as if the well of new ideas for sing lyrics or melodies has run dry.
