Since she was 12 years old, Shaina Botwin had her sights set on working in the music industry. In May 2014, she moved to Nashville just two days after graduating high school to pursue her passion. That fall, she began studying Music Business at MTSU and running their chapter of CMA EDU.
One month into her first semester, Botwin was hired as Digital Marketing Manager at BBR Music Group. Over her 3.5 years there, she worked with artists including Dustin Lynch, Granger Smith, and Lindsay Ell to grow their social platforms, manage their online presences, and oversee their digital marketing. This job enabled her to gain experience and build relationships in the industry, but Botwin always felt most passionate about publishing.
In March of 2018, Botwin took a position with Creative Nation. Her role includes pitching songs, booking co-writes, and developing writers. Creative Nation’s roster includes Luke Laird, Barry Dean, Lori McKenna, Tyler Johnson, Casey Brown, Steve Moakler, Kassi Ashton, Alec Bailey, and Bear Rinehart. Botwin is an advocate for university outreach in the music industry, and serves as a mentor for SOLID, GRAMMY U, and CMA EDU.
