Dan Kimpel Author, educator and music journalist Dan Kimpel contributes feature stories and interviews to a variety of media including magazines, websites, television shows and documentary films. Airline passengers might recognize his inimitable voice from inflight audio programming on United Airlines and Delta Airlines worldwide. In 2018, Dan was named the on-air host and interviewer for Storyophonic (www.storyophonic.com), a music industry podcast series. He is the Song Biz editor and a feature writer for Music Connection magazine (www.musicconnection.com.) 

As a journalist and interviewer, among his most memorable conversations are cultural icons Dr. Maya Angelou, Leonard Cohen, Quincy Jones, Peter Asher and Clint Eastwood; marquee singer-songwriters Randy Newman, Jackson Browne, Jason Mraz and Brian Wilson; pop artists Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Maroon 5; country hit makers Keith Urban, Leanne Womack and Lady Antebellum; rockers Ringo Starr, Steve Vai, John Mayer, Green Day, Maroon 5 and Metallica; film composers Lalo Schifrin, John Powell, John Debney and Alan Silvestri, and soul greats Bill Withers, Holland-Dozier-Holland, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Mary J. For 12 years, he was a multiple award-winning member of the Musician's Institute faculty in Hollywood, CA and Chairman of the Musicians Foundation Board.
