Booking a Mentoring Session & Writing Room

Mentoring sessions are 50 minutes long and can be used for you to play your songs and get feedback, get advice on the business, or a little bit of both. It is your session to use as you want! Our mentors are professional songwriters who have expertise on the craft of songwriting as well as the music business as a whole. Currently, our mentors are RC Bannon, Mason Douglas, Denny Sarokin, & Craig Monday. You can find their bios by clicking here.

 

You are entitled to 2 mentoring session credits with each membership year, and you are welcome to purchase additional credits for $50 per session. Each mentor's availability varies depending on the day of the week. To check availability and book a mentoring session, please call our receptionist, Anna, at 615-256-3354. Sessions must be booked by noon on the Friday before. The mentoring schedules for the month are set on the 15th of the preceding month, so the most advance you can have on booking is about 6 weeks. 

 

Phone & Skype Mentoring Sessions: We understand that a majority of our members do not live in the Nashville area or travel here often, so we offer appointments by Skype & phone. These can be booked with Anna as well. For these sessions, you will be asked to send your audio files and lyrics sheets to reception@nashvillesongwriters.com so Anna can get them to your mentor before your appointment, assuring you maximum time spent with your mentor discussing your music. 

 

NEW Mentoring Cancellation Policy: You must cancel your appointment by 12pm central time on the business day before your appointment in order to not lose your credit.  

 

Our writing rooms will be undergoing a facelift over the Independence Day holiday weekend! We are so excited to make our rooms an even more creative and comfortable space to make music. To book a room, call Anna at 615-256-3354. We have 4 rooms available inside and a screened-in porch that is available outside. Rooms can be booked as late as same-day as long as there is a room available. However, our rooms are typically booked out at least a week in advance. You are allowed to book a maximum of 3 times per week. As with mentoring, the most advance you can have on booking a room is 6 weeks. After the renovation, each room will be equipped with a keyboard, and as always we will have guitars you may check out from Anna at the front desk.
