Join us for a night with Siara Strickland-O'Berry from Rounder Records and Melissa Spillman from Concord Music Publishing! They will be talking about Americana from both the label and the publishing side!
About Siara Strickland-O'Berry:
Siara Strickland-O’Berry is a Senior Project Manager at Rounder Records, where she is responsible for the long-range planning of album releases, from inception through the life of the project.
Siara began her career on Music Row with Given Entertainment where she learned the intricate world of Nashville music publishing. From there, Siara moved on to work exclusively with Grammy nominated, world renowned singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Darrell Scott. Siara spearheaded the administration and management of his international touring, independent publishing company, and independent record label (Full Light Records). This led to a partnership with Soundly Music, where Siara found a creative home for 5 years as a Project & Production Manager. During her time with Soundly, Siara led music release and album campaigns for a roster of over 25 artists, including Kaitlin Butts, Maggie Rose, Channing Wilson, Ariel Posen, Noah Gundersen, Pony Bradshaw, Will Hoge, and many others. Here, Siara found her path of helping artists accomplish their dreams through tangible plans with measured results.
In 2024, Siara was tapped by Rounder Records for a Project Manager position at the label, which soon led to her advancement to Senior PM. Today, Siara oversees musical projects for Ruston Kelly, Ken Pomeroy, Anderson East, Katie Pruitt, Foy Vance, John R. Miller and JD Clayton. Siara takes a holistic approach to her role, functioning within logistics, creative visual planning, marketing and brand development. Siara handles the most granular project details while always keeping the work aligned with her artists’ big-picture career development. Her greatest joy is working alongside Artists as they watch their vision come to life and being the part of the team that makes that vision seamless.
