Tracing his family roots cross-country from the California Bay Area to Pegram, TN, Ben made his way to Nashville via Belmont University, where he quickly realized his passion for songwriting. He celebrated his first #1 with Megan Moroney’s “Tennessee Orange” for which he was also nominated for CMA, ACM and People’s Choice Country Awards Song of the Year. The success of that song was quickly followed by Moroney’s “I’m Not Pretty” and Avery Anna’s “Narcissist,” culminating in nominations for Music Row Magazine’s Breakout Songwriter of the Year and AIMP’s Rising Songwriter of the Year in 2023. A two-time NSAI ’10 Songs I Wish I’d Written’ winner, Ben has been becoming more and more involved with NSAI and is excited for the opportunity to serve the community as a part of the Board.
