Hello Songwriters,

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no August Zoom Meeting.  

We are happy to announce NSAI NYC's Songwriter's Showcase at the Parkside Lounge on Sept 14!!! This will be run like a Nashville Showcase, with 3 writers on the stage at a time.  Each writer will play in turn and will be able to play 2 songs (originals only). (If you only want to play one song, that's ok.)

IF YOU WISH TO GET A SLOT IN THE SHOWCASE, PLEASE RESPOND  ASAP and BY Aug 15th WITH ALL OF THESE DETAILS: 

- Your name and phone number 

-How many songs you would like to play ( 1 or 2 ). 

-What instrument you play (if any) and if you are playing  the song(s) with other musicians. 

-Also indicate if you are an active NSAI member. 

There are a limited number of slots for the showcase and we will randomly select performers from a hat.  NSAI members will have first priority. However, if you don't get picked, you will still have a chance to play at the Open Mic ( see below).

We will be following the Showcase with an Open Mic.  In order to play the open mic,  sign up when you arrive. It is first come, first served, so you should get there early to sign up. Each performer can play one or two songs depending on the number of signups that we have. However, in the past, we have had plenty of time for each open mic performer to play 2 songs.
