The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has decided to appeal a ruling by BMI Rate Court Judge Louis Stanton who overturned DOJ’s interpretation of the ASCAP and BMI consent decrees--where DOJ mandated the practice of 100% licensing. NSAI President, songwriter Lee Thomas Miller said:

As an NSAI Member, you have the opportunity participate in a charitable cause this month with NSAI and Toys For Tots Foundation! The NSAI Staff presents Check-In For Charity month, benefitting the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. During the month of November, for every person that attends and “Check’s in” on Facebook to any of our US Regional Chapter meetings, NSAI will donate $1 to the Toys for Tots Foundation.

September 1- September 31 “Recommended” Songs Considered for P2P Luncheon.
Congratulations to the writers below who had songs recommended between September 1st and September 30th for consideration for our Publisher Luncheon. These were submitted to the Song Evaluation Service and were recommended by the NSAI Evaluators who reviewed them.
NSAI staffers will review all songs recommended between September 1st and September 30th and will choose up to 15 for the January 2017 Publisher Luncheon.
