The fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm ET
Richmond, VA Chapter
Meetings consist of reviewing a lesson on the craft of songwriting or a music business related subject. We then host a feedback session where participants share a song with the group. Members should bring a song to share and lyric sheets for the group. Members may submit songs for feedback at:

Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting on February 25. We spent time discussing how we each come up with melodies for our songs, and as expected there were many different methods: chords first, melody first then chords, or just coming with tunes in our heads. It was interesting to hear everyone's take.
We really appreciate Mainline Brewing in Richmond hosting our writers' round this past Wednesday, November 20. The facilities are outstanding - great setup and nice acoustics.

October 23, 2025 (Nashville, Tenn.) – Earlier this week, the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) began its multi-part Board election, elevating one and adding two new songwriters to the 27-member Board.
