Welcome to the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of NSAI!
Whether you're just picking up a new instrument or pitching your latest song to industry pros, you're welcome here. Our chapter is a vibrant, supportive home for songwriters of all genres and experience levels.
We host regular meetups on Zoom and offer hybrid in-person connects four times a year + special events where you can:
- Share your songs in a friendly, encouraging space
- Give and receive thoughtful feedback
- Connect with a community of fellow creatives
- Learn from industry pros and each other
We believe in showing up, growing together, and celebrating the power of a well-told story. This is a place to meet new friends, find co-writers, and get inspired.

Congratulations to our songwriter Steven Medeiros who had a song recognized as Ones To Watch in October. His song "This Song Ain't a Song" stood out to the evaluator as a unique idea, an outstanding song, or a song they feel is ready to be pitched.
On April 12th, the San Francisco Bay Area NSAI chapter gathered for our annual Chapter Challenge—and this year, we finally brought back those long-overdue in-person vibes. It was a joy to connect face-to-face, welcome a few new members, and continue building our vibrant NorCal songwriting community.

This morning, Nashville's midtown neighborhood was bustling as the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) held a celebration for Nashville-associated songs and their writers who topped the Billboard Airplay, Digital, Hot or Mediabase charts during the past 18-month period.
