As a local NSAI Chapter we host regular meetups and special events where you can connect with fellow creatives, share and listen to songs, exchange feedback, and learn about all the many facets of the music industry! We currently meet monthly online over Zoom with an Open Mic Nite for Songwriters at The THIRD SPACE Coffee Shop in Colorado Springs (4 Times a year). Make sure and affiliate yourself with our chapter and we will keep you updated on chapter meetings and upcoming events!

I come from Colorado! Our state song is "Rocky Mountain High." by John Denver. Look, I get it... people like to "get high" in Colorado. The mountains are a metaphor for escapism and the feeling of vertigo that you get when you smoke too much or you end up light-headed from sucking too much air at elevation.
Last week I had the opportunity to hang out with Barbara Cloyd of the Bluebird Cafe at a small gathering she calls "The Pitch to Publishers" Group. I was able to show Barbara some of the new songs that I've been working on and some old "rewrites" that she'd heard before with some changes and upgrades.
