Chapter Co-coordinator and multi-award winning songwriter Liz Miller will lead us in a "song dissection" exercise -- using current hit song(s) -- to analyze the structure and other aspects of commercially successful song(s). We'll then apply what we learn doing this exercise to evaluating our own songs that we'll be sharing with the group for feedback.
Bring one or two songs to share (depending on number attending we'll evaluate at least one song per songwriter).
(we ask you to provide lyrics, and will send aGoogle Cloud link to those who RSVP to attend ... or you can bring 10 copies of your lyrics to pass out to the group.)
We recommend sharing songs that are a work in progress, or that you are willing to re-write (rather than a finished song or produced demo).
