I spent 3rd and 4th grade in Flatwoods, KY (where Billy is from), one of my teachers was one of his childhood friends and the girls of course went nuts lol, I thought it was pretty cool. My stepdad was friends with the keyboardist (early 90s anyway), and he never let me forget it lol. Billy was a huge celebrity in that town, and to see him so humble after all these years is great and inspiring. My brother is also a musician and when I picked up the guitar, he told me to always be honest, cool to hear Billy reverberating the same sentiment.
