Tony is a two-time winner of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors Songwriter of the Year Award, and was nominated this year for the Songwriters' Hall of Fame. His long list of hits starts with "Build Me Up Buttercup".
Tony performed at Writer's Night at Nolan's back in the Fall, and has graciously agreed to be this month's guest speaker and talk about songwriting.
Tony has also composed music for film and theater, and remains the only Brit to win the Edwin Forrest Award for outstanding contribution to the American theatre. In the 1970's, Tony won a landmark case in the UK which positively changed the landscape for songwriters' rights.
