Thu, 09/21/2017 - 5:45pm

Our theme for September is Label Deals, Brad & Michael will discuss working with a producer, what a producer’s role is within a label deal, and his experiences in A&R at a label.

Brad Nowell began his career at 23 years old at Decca Records where he was a production coordinator in the A&R Department. Additionally, Brad coordinated records for Josh Leo and other producers for acts including Kathy Mattea, Lari White, Paul Brandt and many others. After Decca Records, Brad moved in to publishing at Major Bob Music where he was involved in plugging songs and Catalog Management. He worked closely with Garth Brooks and legendary piano player and writer, Bobby Wood alongside Neil Thrasher and Kelly Shiver to name a few. Years later Brad plugged songs for Kent Blazy’s company, Create Real Music, where Chris Tompkins was the staff writer at the time. Brad most recently was the VP Creative/Country division at Zavitson Music Group and is now working with Michael Omartian in A&R. President of his own company, N Sound Entertainment, Brad produces and develops new up and coming artist/writers.
