ABOUT KATE SHIRLEY:

Born and raised in Chicago Illinois, Kate Shirley found her way to Nashville after graduating from Columbia College Chicago in 2016. She landed her first job working as a tour manager for Monument Records recording artist, Caitlyn Smith. After learning the ins and outs of the music business while on the road, Kate was intrigued about the music business off the road as well, specifically working with songwriters. In 2019, she made the move to Liz Rose Music Publishing as their catalog manager. As her passion for songs and songwriting continued to grow, she was quickly promoted to Creative Coordinator and soon after that, Creative Director. In this role, Shirley’s responsibilities cover all things creative including song plugging, writer calendar management, and new talent acquisition. Kate helps alongside the LRM team in aiding artist development as well as A&R capacity for Liz Rose Music artists projects.

ABOUT LIZ ROSE MUSIC:

Founded in Nashville in 2010 as an independent publishing company, Liz Rose Music was a natural next step for veteran songwriter and publisher, Liz Rose. After a string of success that included several chart-topping songs, a Grammy, an ACM, and a SESAC Songwriter of the Year award, she started Liz Rose Music with her son, Scott Ponce. In 2013, the company signed worldwide co-publishing deals with Warner/Chappell Music, Altadena, BMG, and Anthem Entertainment.

The company operates on the simple principle, "Great Songs, Great People.” Since its inception, Liz Rose Music has built a diverse, distinguished, and talented roster of songwriters, including Phil Barton, Emily Shackelton, Seth Ennis, Cameron Bedell, Alyssa Micaela, Joe Fox, Jeff Middleton, Nick Boyd, and Cassidy Daniels. The catalog also includes legacy writers Corey Crowder, Femke Weidema, Stephony Smith, Jesse Walker, Chuck Wicks, and Walt Wilkins.
