Katie Barolak (Black River Publishing)

Katie Barolak, originally from The Woodlands, TX, graduated from Clemson University in 2016 with a degree in Communications. The day after graduation she moved to Nashville to begin pursing a career in the music industry. Barolak accepted a job at Creative Nation when she arrived in Nashville and assisted with management for the company’s artists. After realizing her true passion was with songwriters, Barolak made the transition to publishing and began working at Black River. She has been with the company for two and a half years and is the Creative Manager, assisting writers with calendars and pitching songs.
