ALEX STEFANO - BIG YELLOW DOG (SYNC)

Alex Stefano is currently the Film & TV Music Manager at Big Yellow Dog Music. BYD is one of the top independent music publishers in Nashville whose roster includes Meghan Trainor, Josh Kear, Maren Morris, Chris Gelbuda, Shawn Camp, Claire Guerreso, Jessie James Decker and many others. While working in the Sync department, Alex has assisted in getting over 500 placements in the last year in various TV shows, ad campaigns, trailers, and films.

Sync Guidelines: While Big Yellow Dog publishes all genres, Alex exclusively works with music for Film & TV, which means, NO country! It is extremely rare for anything that's remotely country (including a twangy vocal) to be successful for sync. Songs that usually work have very general lyrics. If the song has a specific lyric (like city name, etc), it is immediately pigeon holed. If the song is track heavy, the track should be driving and have different swells and builds through out. Some themes we are always looking for are songs about love but not in a romantic sense, non cheesy songs about friendship, and non cheesy songs about heroes.
